Refund Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This Refund Policy covers refunds, withdrawal rights and subscription cancellation for paid Planetary Hours subscriptions purchased through PlanetaryHours.io.
It should be read together with the Terms of Use, the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy.
1. Seller and Payment Provider
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for the transaction. The specific Paddle entity acting as seller is identified at checkout.
Planetary Hours supplies and supports the Planetary Hours service. Paddle handles the payment transaction and processes withdrawals and refunds relating to that transaction.
Planetary Hours does not make a separate direct repayment for a transaction originally processed by Paddle.
2. Cancelling a Subscription
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing interval until cancelled.
You may cancel a subscription at any time by using:
- Account → Subscription on PlanetaryHours.io;
- the Manage subscription link in the transaction or subscription email sent by Paddle; or
- Paddle Buyer Support.
Unless a different result is required by law or expressly shown during cancellation, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Paid access remains available until that date, and no further renewal payment should be taken after the cancellation becomes effective.
Cancelling a subscription:
- prevents future renewal charges;
- does not by itself refund the current paid period; and
- does not delete the Planetary Hours account.
3. General Refund Rule
Except where required by applicable law, the applicable Paddle terms or the Paddle Refund Policy, paid transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Stopping use of the Service, changing your mind or cancelling during a paid billing period does not by itself create a right to a full or prorated refund for that period.
Under Paddle’s current Refund Policy, Paddle may consider a discretionary refund request submitted within 14 days of a transaction. A request within that period does not guarantee a refund. Paddle may approve a full or partial refund or decline the request after reviewing the circumstances.
Complimentary Plus
Planetary Hours may grant Plus access free of charge as a gift or promotion. This is not a paid subscription and does not renew automatically. There is no payment to refund for that complimentary period, and the paid-subscription refund rules do not apply to it. Complimentary access has no cash or refund-credit value.
A gift does not cancel or change a separate paid subscription or its renewal. Refund and withdrawal rights for that purchase remain governed by this Policy and applicable law. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
4. Statutory Withdrawal and Consumer Rights
Consumers may have statutory withdrawal, cancellation or refund rights under the law applicable to their transaction. The relevant period and conditions depend on the country, the type of transaction and whether supply of the digital service has begun.
Paddle’s current Refund Policy describes the rights and request periods that Paddle applies to transactions in supported countries. These currently include a 14-day withdrawal period for certain transactions by consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, subject to the conditions and exceptions stated by Paddle and applicable law. Other countries may provide different periods or conditions.
Where an eligible withdrawal option is available, it may be shown in the Paddle Customer Portal. You may also exercise an applicable right through Paddle Buyer Support.
Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.
5. Failure to Supply or Lack of Conformity
If paid access is not activated, or a persistent material technical problem prevents you from using paid functionality as described, contact Planetary Hours at [email protected].
Please provide, where available:
- the email address associated with the Planetary Hours account;
- the Paddle transaction reference;
- the date of the transaction; and
- a concise description of the problem and the affected feature.
Do not send a complete payment-card number, card security code or online-banking credentials.
We will investigate the issue. Where the digital service has not been supplied or does not conform to the contract, we will take the steps required by applicable law, which may include bringing the Service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the affected contract.
If a material technical or product defect cannot be resolved, you may request a refund through Paddle. Paddle’s Refund Policy asks buyers to contact the supplier first about such defects and then to provide Paddle with details if the issue remains unresolved.
6. Requesting a Withdrawal or Refund
To request a withdrawal or refund for a Paddle transaction:
- use the support or management link in your Paddle receipt or subscription email; or
- visit Paddle Buyer Support and select the applicable withdrawal or refund option.
For a problem with Planetary Hours product functionality or a paid entitlement, contact [email protected] as well so that we can investigate the product issue and provide relevant information to Paddle if necessary.
Paddle verifies eligibility and processes any approved refund. Submitting a request does not itself mean that a refund has been approved.
7. Approved Refunds and Access
Paddle normally returns an approved refund to the original payment method where possible. Processing and posting times are governed by Paddle’s applicable policy and may also depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
The Planetary Hours account remains available on the Free plan unless it is separately deleted.
When a refund of the current subscription period is approved, we also cancel the corresponding subscription in Paddle. Plus access ends when that cancellation takes effect, unless another Plus entitlement remains. A refund of an earlier period does not change the current period. When Plus access ends, Saved Windows become unavailable immediately. We retain them for 14 days so that access can be restored if Plus is reactivated. If Plus is not restored within that period, the Saved Windows are permanently deleted. This is described on the Pricing page. Other account information is not deleted by a refund. Account deletion and personal-data rights are described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
If you believe that:
- the same transaction was charged more than once;
- a confirmed cancellation was followed by an incorrect renewal charge; or
- the amount charged differs from the amount confirmed at checkout,
contact Paddle Buyer Support promptly and notify [email protected] if the issue also affects your Planetary Hours account or entitlement.
Nothing in this Policy prevents you from exercising a lawful payment-dispute or chargeback right.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to keep it consistent with applicable law, Paddle’s terms or the Planetary Hours subscription model. The current version will show its latest revision date.
An update will not remove rights that arose before it took effect. Paddle states that the version of its Refund Policy in effect at the time of a transaction governs that transaction.
